Accounts Assistant
£28,000 \- £29,000 per year depending on experience

We are a well\-established and growing supplier of flat\-pack furniture and household products across the UK \& Europe. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at our Bradford head office.
This role would suit someone practical and organised who enjoys getting on with their work and keeping things accurate and up to date.
The Role
This is a hands\-on position supporting the very busy and high\-volume finance function. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, checking invoices, and supporting reconciliations and credit control.
It is a very Excel\-heavy role, but the processes are clear and structured, giving you the chance to work efficiently and confidently.
Main Duties
Sales Ledger
· Raise and post daily and weekly sales ledger accurately and timely.
· Maintain a clean aged debtors record and actively chase up overdue accounts.
· Reconcile customers payment and remittance.
Purchase Ledger
· Ensuring all purchase invoices are checked and uploaded onto Sage on timely manner.
· Maintain aged creditors record and monitor overdue supplier accounts.
· Reconcile suppliers’ payment and remittance.
Banking
· Posting daily transactions to Sage for multi\-currency.
· Reconcile bank statements
Period end and Audit
· Assisting Accounts Manager on preparation for Month End and Year End.
· Provide documentation and assistance during internal and external Audit
Vat Return
· Preparation of UK quarterly Vat returns for multi companies.
· Preparation of EU Vat Returns on a monthly / quarterly basis and submission to our overseas accounting partners.
· Ad\-hoc duties and working alongside other departments to improve the controls and processes in the business.
What We’re Looking For
· Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts
· AAT Level 2 equivalent or above
· Proficiency in Excel (Xlookup, Pivot tables etc)
· Good knowledge of accounting principles and attention to detail.
· Experience with Sage advantageous, but full training will be given.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Good time management skills and the ability to priorities tasks effectively
· Ability to thrive in a fast\-moving e\-commerce environment and embrace new challenges.
