Job Summary
Chippenham Town FC Academy are seeking a passionate and experienced Foundation Phase Academy Lead Coaches specialising in football to oversee and develop our youth training programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing training sessions, mentoring coaching staff, and fostering a positive environment that encourages skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the next generation of football talent while promoting a love for the sport within our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and organise football training sessions for various age groups, ensuring programmes are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with developmental goals.
- Mentor and support coaching staff, providing guidance on coaching techniques and player development strategies.
- Monitor player progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to players and parents where appropriate.
- Foster a positive team environment that promotes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship among players.
- Organise team selections for matches and tournaments, ensuring fair play and equal opportunities.
- Coordinate with organisational staff to ensure all equipment, facilities, and safety protocols are maintained to high standards.
- Stay updated with the latest coaching methodologies and football trends to continually enhance programme quality.

- A successful applicant will be willing to participate in all required safeguarding procedures, including an Enhanced DBS check.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with players of varying ages and skill levels.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the capacity to motivate both players and coaching staff.
- Knowledge of current best practices in youth sports development and safety standards.
- Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications in football or sports coaching are preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required for training sessions and matches.
- A passion for youth development through sport combined with a professional attitude committed to fostering a positive sporting environment.
