JOB Overview

Experienced complex care worker (client’s home)

Taunton, Priorswood area.

£14\.50 – £20 per hour

2 positions available – 1 x 36 hours per week \= 3 x 12 hour shifts and 1 x 24 hours \= 2x 12 hour shifts. Over a 4\-week rolling rota.

Typical shift pattern for 36 hours:

Week 1: 2 x day shift and 1 x night shift

Week 2: 1 x day shift and 2 x night shifts

Week 3: 2 x day shift and 1 x night shift

Week 4: 1 day shift and 2 x night shifts

Typical shift pattern for 24 hours:

1 x day shift and 1x night shift a week

Duties

Job description:

Looking for kind compassionate and reliable Carers to join an established team of carers. To provide complex care for a gentleman in mid fiftys who has a very rare form of Muscular Dystrophy.

You must be familiar with: PEG Feeding, Non\-Invasive Ventilation, Nebuliser, Cough Assistance Machine, Suctioning, Oral Care. And a Communication Device.

The position involves:

Manual handling

Personal care

Following a Care Plan

Record detailed notes

Administering medication

5\.6 weeks annual leave

Holiday pay and contracted hours

On\-site parking

Scrubs provided

Qualifications

• Enhanced Adult DBS (required)


• Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely for client transportation (desirable)


• Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively (desirable)


• Good command of English, both written and spoken (required)


• Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members (required)


• Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues (required)


• Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing respectful, Reliable, person\-centred care


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
