2nd Line Support Engineer

We're looking for an experienced 2nd Line Onsite Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support at a client site near Poole in Dorset.

The successful candidate will take ownership of incidents and service requests, troubleshoot technical issues and work closely with wider technical teams to deliver a high-quality service.

The service desk team the successful candidate will be joining are office based 4 days per week and work from home on Friday's so please consider this before applying.

Role requirements:

• Providing 2nd line deskside and onsite IT support


• Troubleshooting hardware, software, network and access issues


• Managing incidents and service requests through to resolution


• Supporting Microsoft 365, Windows and endpoint environments


• Assisting with projects, changes and service improvements


• Maintaining accurate ticket records and technical documentation


• Providing a professional, customer-focused service

What we're looking for

Previous experience within a 2nd Line, Deskside or Onsite Support role, with knowledge of technologies such as:

• Microsoft 365, Windows and Exchange


• Entra ID / Azure AD


• SCCM and VMware


• Networking and VoIP


• Remote support and monitoring tools


• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, mobile devices, or WAN technologies would be beneficial but isn't essential.

Ideally, you'll already hold SC Clearance. Alternatively, applicants must be eligible to obtain clearance, including being a British Citizen who has lived continuously in the UK for the last five years.
