2nd Engineer (2/E) | Bulkcarrier

Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. Take an active role in running and maintaining the engine room, supporting safe and efficient vessel operations.

• Key responsibilities:


• Assist Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance


• Monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliary engines and machinery


• Carry out planned maintenance and repairs as per PMS


• Supervise engine room crew and ensure safe working practices


• Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date


• Assist in bunkering operations and fuel/lube oil management


• Support all safety, environmental and ISM/ISPS procedures onboard


• Requirements:


• Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2\) CoC for seagoing vessels


• Experience as 2/E on bulk carriers preferred


• Valid STCW certificates and seafarer medical fitness


• Good English communication skills


• Strong technical skills and hands\-on approach in the engine room
