121 SEND support Level 2 or 3 Nursery

Job Type: 30 hours per week, Term Time only OR all year round (this can be discussed at interview)
About the Role
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of young children. You'll work closely with our SENCO and external professionals to implement tailored strategies that help every child thrive, ensuring inclusive practice and access to our full curriculum.

- Implement individual support plans and SEND strategies under SENCO guidance
- Adapt activities and resources to meet diverse learning needs
- Support all children to access the full nursery curriculum through inclusive practice
- Create caring, nurturing relationships with children, promoting their confidence and independence
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers about their child's progress and well\-being
- Complete observations of children's development, including detailed SEND\-specific records
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure health and safety compliance in daily practice
- Assist with personal care needs, including specialised routines for children with additional needs
- Support smooth daily routines and transitions, providing extra support where needed
- Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with the SENCO and senior practitioners

Essential:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare
- Genuine passion for working with young children
- Understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
- Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs
- Excellent communication skills with children, families, and professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
- Previous experience providing 1:1 support to children with SEND
- Knowledge of SEND strategies and interventions
- Experience working with external professionals and multi\-agency teams
- Understanding of EHCPs and individual support planning
