1-1 Teaching Assistant - Make a Difference

1-1 TA | BS34 | Full Time | September Start

We are looking for a confident and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in the BS34 area of Bristol. This role involves providing 1-1 support to a child in Key Stage 2 and would suit someone with SEN experience who is sporty and energetic.

A background in sports coaching or PE would be a great fit for this position.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Providing dedicated 1-1 support to a child in KS2


• Supporting the pupil with their learning, behaviour and engagement


• Using your energy and enthusiasm to build a positive relationship with the child


• Incorporating movement and active learning where appropriate


• Working closely with class teachers, SENCo and senior staff


• Helping the pupil access the curriculum and reach their potential


• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher

• TA qualification or equivalent experience


• Experience supporting children with SEN


• A sporty, active approach - sports coaching experience would be ideal


• Confidence working 1-1 with children in KS2


• A patient, positive and resilient attitude


• Strong communication and relationship-building skills


• Reliability and professionalism


• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

• Full time, term time only
