Hatherop Castle School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3\. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving co\-educational day and boarding prep school and nursery, set within the heart of the Cotswolds and part of the Wishford Education Group.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping children to succeed and who shares our belief that every child should be supported to be ambitious, develop a love of learning, grow in independence and fulfil their potential.
Working closely with the class teachers, SENCo and wider pastoral team, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting a pupil's academic, social and emotional development, helping them to engage fully in school life and achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide one\-to\-one support for a pupil within Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3\.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENCo and parents to help the pupil access learning, develop confidence, build independence and make excellent progress across all areas of school life.
This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or qualified teacher with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development. Experience of supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including neurodiversity, would be advantageous.
This is a term\-time only position.

Job Description
Reporting to
Headmaster, Deputy Head and SENCo
Working Hours
Flexible Monday to Friday, approximately 20\-24 hours per week, term time only.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Supporting Learning
- Provide dedicated one\-to\-one support for a pupil, enabling them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCo and support staff to implement strategies that meet the pupil's individual needs.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities.
- Support the pupil in developing confidence, resilience, organisation and independence.
- Monitor and record progress, sharing observations appropriately with relevant staff.
- Help maintain accurate records relating to the pupil's development, wellbeing and educational provision.
- Foster positive, professional relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Promote the pupil's emotional wellbeing, self\-esteem and social development.
- Encourage positive behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Assist with supervision duties as required, including breaktimes, lunchtimes, assemblies and school events.

- Qualifications relating to neurodiversity and inclusive educational practice.
- Degree in a child\-related subject and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
